One of Stuart’s current theatre projects is a full-length play for adults based on the curious life of 17th Century scientist Robert Hooke and his niece, Grace.

Using the cryptic clues from Hooke’s memorandum book and other biographical sources, it re-creates four turbulent years in the life of the man who rebuilt London after the Great Fire, invented a new way of walking on bouncing shoes, fell into dispute with Isaac Newton—and fell in love with the one woman he should never have touched.
